Just my luck I never hooked up the decent speakers or amp
when the Quantum drive was limping along and the Win 98
sound drivers were functioning :-(
Instead had the powered mini-set hooked up and they always
sounded terrible without being powered.
Should be a revelation when I get it back up to spec.
