Sacre bleu, mon ami!  You say you reloaded (as in re-flashed?) the
_BIOS_, and that made the CDROM start working again?   I think you meant
to say that you reloaded the OS.

Oh, just to mention, your above text has what I was talking with you
about in one of our emails - - there seems to be a TAB mark or other
indentation at start of each of your lines of text. Not really a big
problem, and un-intended line-wraps happen all the time, especially in
quoted emails and quoted fido-posts.
