KN> ObProg: just bought a CD with Peter Hammil on vocals,
KN> Robert Fripp on lead guitar, Steve Hillage on rythm, and
KN> Nik Turner on synth. It's a live album, a benefit for
KN> Hugh Cornwall of the punk band, the Stranglers, after he
KN> was arrested back in the early 80s. Very strange. Sounds
KN> like a bunch of prog musicians playing punk but playing
KN> it as if it were prog. Lots of leads from Fripp. Very
 KN> weird.
Wow. What did he get arrested for? I'm resisting several
uncomplimentary speculations since the Stranglers were one
of the first UK "Punk" bands to make it to Madison way back when.
Not to mention their audacity in being old and ugly in a young
and ugly movement. And adding that massive sweaty throbbing organ
sound to the punk aesthetic...
Who plays bass and drums on the above benefit?
