PW> What speed is an external motorola modemsurfr model 3456 ext ms us, If it's like this Model 3456 ISA MS CAN internal I have here, it's other name is SM56. SM = Soft Modem = WINmodem 56k. I can't use it though. When installed, it's auto-detected by the BIOS as a Rockwell K56flex PnP (which is what it is, based on the chips), but half-way through displaying the BIOS summary screen where the memory, drives, etc. are displayed, the system locks tight. Even C-A-Del won't reset it. Have to power off. Gee, I hate "WIN"things. PW> and what type of wallwart does it need to work? I popped it open and PW> there's a bridge rectifier so I know it's AC at the least but that's it. You sure it isn't printed on the case? I had to read the sticker on a GVC 33.6 external (#19 in my "modems" box) 3 times before I finally spotted "9Vac, 1A", which I don't have. It probably fell all the way to the bottom of the dumpster. * SLMR 2.1a * --- Maximus 3.01* Origin: The BandMaster, Vancouver, B.C., Canada (1:153/7715) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 153/7715 140/1 106/2000 633/267 |
