Connected to a BBS with an IBM Aptiva internal modem, I keep getting a square 
root sign every so often wherever I am being asked to do something, it seems 
like a pulse because there is some regularity to it, maybe every couple of 
seconds another sqare root sign appears separated by 1 or 2 spaces. There is 
also random junk characters that appear when logging in.
