-> RF> Can someone that Breeds BCC tell me if i am doing anything wrong?
-> RF> My birds are set up in a nice flight 4x4. The male has started to
-> RF> at the females featers and i have seen them in the nest box
-> several
-> RF> times.but i have not seen any eggs.. She will sometimes sit in t
-> RF> day and then the next she will not go into it till i shut out the
-> RF> lights in the room and both sleep in there.Why are they not matin
-> RF> laying? They are a proven pair that i had gotten from a friend of
-> RF> and with the papers from zoogen i know that they are a sexed and
-> RF> pair.
-> RF> Any ideals?
->
-> Probably due to new enviornment. From my readings I understand that
-> many birds do not adjust to new situations all that quickly. Why not
-> give them the benefit of the doubt and give them some time to adjust?
Well Pete i have had them here 3 months.. they are pretty adjusted..
when i first got them for about the 1st month they would scream and
carry on badly..when i went out to feed. now they sit there and wait
thier turn to be feed and have not intention on getting all excited.
Allthough i have not seen them mate yet.. the feathers that the malke as
been pulling and the way they have been acting as to going to the nest
box i figured that they would go lay some eggs soon. i have noticed that
they have taken the bedding in the box and shaped it like a nest that
you would see in a tree..maybe if i am lucky they will do their thing
soon!!
