What you need is a fully functional *physical* network connection, which you
already have:

Nothing (in fact it's Thin Laps with a CID server, but you won't see it). All
you need is a Warp Connect installation CD and a CD-Rom to install the first
machine. After you have set up this machine including Network setup, you can
use the Remote Install program (somewhere in system setup) to create boot
diskettes for the other machine, including(!) LAN support for the built in
CID server.
You just use these disks to boot the second machine. The installation program
should startup automaticly and the setup will run as if installing from a
local CD-Rom but in fact using the CD in the other machine. It's really
simple, especially if you have the same network cards on both machines, so
you can use the drivers already installed on the first machine.
