Hi Tamara,
Glad you recieved the radio. You asked so many questions that I don't
know where to start.
First let me tell you...To program the freqs. push and holf the very top
right button until the channel 0 pops up, then hit the number of the
channel you want to program. ie: 1 to 14 then hit it again to program
the recieve freq, hit it again to program the PL tone if any, then hit
it again to program the transmit freq. when your finished,turn it off
then back on again and it will redtain your info in memory. but remember
you must hit the clear key before you enter any information into memory.
as far as charging goes I used a motorcycle battery charger, 12 volts @
1 amp for 1/2 an hour to charge it up to full charge. They do sell
bigger bateries for it as well as a charger but It did not come with any
when i got it. The battery that's in it now is a 10.6 volt battery @ 900
mill.
I hope this helps you enough until I get more time to sit down here and
write you a full set of instructions. Do the best you can until I get a
chance to send you more info.
