----------RECEPTION, TV PM> actually end up getting you the U.S. PM> stations during the summer with any degree of PM> success? > Yes to the point that I always get a signal but it > is more degraded in summer though viewable. May give it a shot, in that case. Or at least put it on my To-Do list. Don't watch that much TV for some blurring to make a great deal of difference. The news -- sometimes -- is about all. And some of the news these daays can use some blurring. > I use the sensitive tuner in an older broken vcr > (never throw those out as they had the best tuners) > which doesn't have a blue screen of death (argh!). [g] Good tip, that. The newer ones are duds in that department. And I think I have one of those old ones around here somewhere. And I think it was Roy who mentioned a VCR repair kit for $20 [?] that I meant to ask him about but never got around to. Am in catch-up mode and am so strapped for time lately that I've had to abandon various projects. Someone else pointed out another use for old VCRs -- that you can dub video tapes with two old VCRs, something you supposedly can't do with newer models. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Juxtaposition BBS, Telnet:juxtaposition.dynip.com (1:167/133) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 167/133 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
