When I saw "Coal Miner's Daughter", I was finally able to separate what 
I liked in country music (the stuff that still had a lot of the 
traditional roots) from what I didn't (the stuff that you had to listen 
to described above).  The movie's a great document of that transition 
(at least for one artist) in the genre.
