However, I still appear to be receiving echomail, so I'm not sure if that
will continue or not.

Routed netmail may get bounced by some systems along the way.

If it were me, I'd wait a day or so before moving to John's system, but
it's completely your choice.

Oh, save copies of any mail you send, I don't know for sure what will need resending.
