... Whilst Bill waffled on to Dieter...

 Hello Bill,

PN> On its own Qedit will handle 550K, as long as you haven't used too much
 PN> memory with TSR's etc.

BG> Oh really? My version of Qedit can handle files of up to (and maybe
BG> even in excess of) 16Mb. Of course, it IS the commercial OS/2
 BG> version... :)

DM> Where did you get it from ? Direct from Semware ?

BG> Er, not quite. Mine is actually an "unofficial evaluation
version".
 BG> :)

With an unlimited evaluation period ??? :-)

DM> And did it include the DOS version as well ?

BG> Mine didn't, but I dunno about the original distribution disks.
BG> According to the README contained in the archive I received, I believe
 BG> it was meant to.

That was why I was asking - it was a bit vague....

 BG> ÄÄÄ
BG> Note the inclusion of a spelling-checker at long last? There are

 Yes.

BG> several other new and useful features, but I refrained from wasting
BG> bandwidth by posting them here. Dunno what it costs, but it's a superb
BG> editor, and worth every cent. :)

I have most of the sales blurb around, but wanted to be
specifically sure if the DOS version was included.

There was an agent in VICT or SA that dealt with Semware. Vicky
Crawford, I think. But they no longer deal with Semware. Suppose
I'll have to do it the hard way.

 Thanks anyway.

 Dieter
