-> Do you find the V-brakes to be better than any brakes on the market?
I wish I could answer that honestly, but I can't. What I DO know is the
XT V-brakes offer me unbelievable power and control. It was like night
and day. PLUS, the setup was easy. The parallel push linkage sets the
pad flat against the rim. I bought Diacompe PC7-EXA levers because they
offer 3-finger braking, to which I am used.
Now, mind you, my upgrade was from Shimano STX/RC cantis, so it would be
a big jump. But at $100 for the whole shootin' match, that ain't bad.
