Depends on whether you mean reruns or syndication. Syndication is
reruns stations buy to show locally on their own schedule. Network and
cable network reruns are not syndication. Asking networks about
syndication won't get you anywhere.
Back in 2004 and perhaps other years, Spike TV showed reruns of DS9. In
2008 they were showing it at 2am. If Spike (or anyone else) holds
exclusive rights then it can't be shown in syndication. The Twilight
Zone hasn't been seen in syndication since the mid-1990's because The
Sci-Fi Channel (Syfy) got the exclusive rights and held on to it ever
since. They also show some of the episodes that have never aired in
syndication.
Also, although the cable networks sometimes show the edited syndicated
versions, the episodes shown on cable networks are often edited
differently. TVLand is one network which usually shows different
versions than ones that had previously aired on local stations. Another
difference between syndication and other reruns.
