Hi Richard,
You asked:
RM> I am new to C++, I am looking for someone to help
RM>me with the basic's of C++ I have V3.1, I have programed in
RM>Qbasic And Visual Baisc for Windows I would like to learn
RM>more about C++
If you really want C++ help step over to C_PLUSPLUS where you'll be on
topic. When you do, tell them which brand of compiler you're useing.
I can think of at least 6 C/C++ compilers for the PC Windows platform
alone, another 3 for the PC OS/2 platform. I think its Borland for 16
bit Windows and DOS. If so V 3.1 is outdated and does not follow current
C++ standards, the C side is still current though.
If you want to do it in C, ask us specific questions, again telling us
specifically what compiler you are using and what platform you are
targeting (DOS or Windows).
RM> The first thing I notice about C++ is that it is
RM>like Visual Baisc some what, in the way you have project
RM>files and all that, What I want to know is how the LIB
RM>files work, and how you know what ones to use.
I don't know Visual Basic, so I can't comment. You generally don't have
to worry about which libraries to use, that is handled by the IDE.
RM>Also the first thing I need to know is how to Display text on screen....
RM>Next how to have a input...
First you need to decide if it's C or C++. There are standard ways of
doing it for both, but they are different.
RM>Any help would be great because I know none of this, And if
RM>you are a beginer too mabe we could learn together.
We were all beginners once.
