S10 is measured in 100ms (milliseconds), so 018 is 1.8 seconds. Yeah, I
guess they figure that a temporary loss of carrier is possible, so they
hang on for almost 2 seconds before deciding to call it quits.

An S10 setting of 1? It probably makes no difference one way or another
for the vast majority of calls.
