They may very well be different, you need more than a stopwatch and
calculator to see the differences. The question is, did those minor
differences make them faster?
But you're right, all other things being equal, they are remarkably repetative.

No, it really did make a difference. I had people trying to overtake me
(while waiting at lights or such) if I were stopped over to one side of the
lane. Out of habit, I started to stand in the middle so the fuckers wouldn't
try to kill me every time I stopped.
Later, even when did stand to one side (with no P plate), they never did try
to pass me.

Depends on traffic. If sparse, I overtake, if a parking lot, I pass.
