Hi David,
WS> Ah that's alright then... But I guess C++ is C++...
DN> That is rather optimistic, I'm afraid. The C++ grammar
DN> supported by EMX is behind that supported by Watcom 11.x,
DN> very roughly the same as that supported by Watcom 10.x and
DN> well ahead of that supported by IBM Visual Age C++. One of
DN> the long standing bugbears of C++ is that every compiler
DN> vendor had their own ideas as to what contituted the C++
DN> language. This is also a tradition inherited from C.
Ah OK... Thanks for the tip... So if a Source code I have requires Watcom
10.6 I would be better to stick with the Watcomm series of compilers
then...
WS> I would imagine you could get third party addons anyway...
DN> Get the source code, so that you can compile it for whatever
DN> compiler you are using. It is never really safe to link a
DN> library compiled by one vendor's compiler into an executable
DN> compiled by another vendor's compiler.
OK that narrows it down then:) Watcomm it is... Thanks for all your
info/help it's muchly appreciated...

Wayne
