subject: Drawing a bitmap on top of another bitma22:19:1606/20/97

Hi,
I'm currently having a problem with drawing bitmaps. On top of a big bitmap,
which shows a display, I wanna show bitmaps with digits. So, I've defined
several images on top of the image containing the big bitmap. When I draw the
bitmaps with digits, the background on the position where I draw the
digit-bitmap flashes. On a fast PC it's not a major problem, but on a 486 you
can actually see a white background before the digit-bitmap is being painted.
I've tried  "DigitImage.Canvas.Draw( x, y, MyImage.Picture.Bitmap );" for
example. Something else I've tried is "DigitImage.Picture.Bitmap :=
MyImage.Picture.Bitmap;". Somebody hinted to me that setting
"DigitImage.ControlStyle := DigitImage.ControlStyle + [csFramed, csOpaque];"
might help, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Does anybody have an idea? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Gerard.
