Actually I was wrong about Thunderbird.  Its behavior isn't exactly what
George wants (i.e., the OE behavior using the spacebar to advance a preview
window to its end and then the next spacebar causes OE to go to the next
message).  Spacebar in Thunderbird does advance the previewed message just
like in OE, but when you get to the bottom of the previewed message another
hit on spacebar does not advance to the next message.  You have to hit down
arrow to get to the next message.
