The need for a properly calibrated recorder is paramount to accurate
proformance, regardless of added gizzmos to enhance proformace. Bias,
when properly set up, is a balance between distortion, frequency
response and overall recording effeciency. HXPro is wasted if other
parameters aren't also carefully set.

Regardless of which method of dynamically controlling bias, carefull
attention must be paid to the fact that the altered bias must change at
the correct time. If there is any time arrival differences between the
actual audio fed to the record head and a change in bias, the
transients could very well be smeared.
