subject: installing over a network

I see where with Warp Connect I can do an install over a network, but they
seem to say in there that the network needs to be up and running, fully
functional, before the install happens.
The idea is to end up with Warp running on both ends, when I'm done. The
question is what the heck do I want to use as an interim network in the
meantime...
Hardware is 3Com cards, a hub, UTP wiring, no problems there.
I have a copy of Lantastic 5, some copies of Personal Netware, MS-Net's DOS
client, and the possibility of picking up other stuff as a temporary measure
to get me going here.
Any suggestions for the least-hassle way to accomplish this?
