  Funnily enough, it appears to be only the "date" cmd that needs
the "`"s
to be escaped like this.  :\

  Some cmds used in the same way (eg. Prompt "`dir` >") don't need to be
escaped, they're re-evaluated automatically at each prompt.  Yet others,
such as `date`, `list` etc do...  there seems to be no method short of
actual trial'n'error to determine which is which!

  Weird! :\
