I don't think that's entirely true. The timbre of the guitars, for 
example, is characteristically Country. A better example would be the 
Corrs' "Breathless", which was co-written by ST's husband, but, of 
course, the Corrs have never claimed to be a Country band (except when 
they appeared in "The Commitments), though Sharon's fiddling naturally 
gives them a certain Country edge, since Country itself descends from 
Scotch-Irish.
