        Maybe my girl didn't live long enough to experience
     maturity then... she was only 14 months when she went.

         That's how i picked mine... she was in with a group (12-14)
       young birds. She was the most friendly; came right to my hand
       and hopped on, and wanted to cuddle against my cheek. I think
       she was about 9 weeks old when i got her; she was still getting
       one hand-feeding/day. That was cute... whenever she'd see some-
       thing that looked like the feeding pipette (pen, cigarette, etc.)
       she'd started that annoying screeching for food! I miss her a
       lot.
