BTW, there's a newer version of DISK64E (which is the program I've used) available. > P.S. Can modems still be purchased for C64's? If so where and > what cables, terminal programs would I need? The modems will normally come with cables - I think I have a few around here somewhere! The best terminal program for the 64 is Novaterm 9.5. There might be retailers who still sell modems for the 64 - perhaps one of the other readers of this echo will be able to put you onto one if you decide to buy a new one? > P.P.S. What is 64net (network for C64?) and what hardware and > software do you need to set it up and where can these be > obtained. 64NET is a package which allows you to use your PC as a file server for your 64. The hardware consists of a cable to go between your PC's parallel port, and the 64's User port. The software is a small wedge at the 64 end, and the PC server program. It is currently in final beta test (and also waiting for me to finish the manual! :) and should be officially released "soon". Ralphey. --- FMail 0.94 SDޝ])* Origin: A pointed message from Ralphey!
