Never changed any cartriges on this printer. Only got this one toner refill kit with it and I haven't used that yet... ml> AIR, its generally under a green door... and ususally pretty warm ml> if the printer has been on for a while... This thing is weird, very narrow (4-5"?), about a foot tall, and roughly that front-to-back. There's a door on top where finished comes out, a door on the right where paper lays, and a door on the left that's normally closed. Opening that one I see the drum, mounted in an assembly of black plastic with four green squares on it. Grabbing the assembly at those four points, the whole thing pops out. On the inside of that is where the toner woud be applied, there's what appears to be a filler cap. Looking on that side there also appears to be the "corona wires" that I've seen mention of, in a plastic assembly. There's no obvious sign of how to open this thing any furtber, of any electronics in it, or of what makes all the noisess when you turn it on and it gets itself ready. I'll poke into it further at some point... ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 106/1 2000 633/267 |
