This is demonstratable with the F1 guys during a wet race. You don't get
much in-car views during those races, because you only really see white haze,
and nothing else.
Those guys hone in on subtle little clues on the side of the road (where they
can see) and make corrections on that. Everything else is based on dead
reconing navigation.
They say a typical F1 driver can "imagine" driving around the
track in their
minds, with a stopwatch in their hand clicking every time they cross the
start-stop line. Apparently, each 'imaginary' lap is the same as all the
others, to within a second or so.

Ah, so the fixed speed camera saved that many lives that they are now
targeting back streets, which is where everyone REALLY gets killed right?

Roumoured to have them rotated around, but not sure, I haven't had a close
look at when the guys are working on them to notice if they are putting it in,
or taking it out.
The one on parramatta road auburn apparently is the biggest money maker in
the country. They must be saving counless lives. It's in the middle of an
industrial area.

Not if the truck's speed is zero. At any speeds above zero, all bets are off.

Isn't that 80Km/h, or is that for Ls?

That's just you Bob, one driver doesn't make a squat of difference.
I can pass 100+ cars in a typical ride to work. You get to
"meet" all sorts.
