Actually, most modern CPUs run several *instructions* in parallel. :-)
I've got a dual CPU box here that's either going to be a Netware server
or a Linux box.

Some of us have drives mounted such that they have individual LEds. And
for that matter, since I have both SCSI and IDE drives in some boxes, I
do see both sets of drive LEDs on at the same time. :-)
