DN> Have you priced the upgrade from VA C++ 3.0 to VA C++ 3.6? The 3.6 DN> version was not widely touted by IBM as the upgrade price was over DN> US$3000. It was strictly a corporate product. David, according to the compiler team members on the IBM news group (news.software.ibm.com) the 3.6 upgrade was for the AIX version only - that would explain the bargain price. VACPP for OS/2 is at 3.0, FP8 with ver. 4.0 either gone gold or going this week. No upgrade prices yet, tho. If Toronto's promises of matching the NT version feature for feature hold, it's a really nice package - head and shoulders above 3.0, especially the visual builder and the compile speeds. I use 3.0 for OS/2 and 3.5 for NT so I'm really looking forward to the release - assuming a decent price, that is.
