-> TW> That to me means that by NO means is a Machine Running -> TW> PC/MS DOS a classic. There are just far too many still in -> TW> service. Now those still running CPM maybe. -> The last time I looked IBM was still selling DOS. Which tells me -> IBM is a better corporate citizen that MS. And the Remains of the Old DR-DOS(now CAkldera DOS as I recall) after MS brutaly crushed them is still selling DOS. As an example several people use Caldera DOS for their Boot Disks to run their software. -> ->> Uhh,don't a fair portion of the old ATM machines still run on 486's as -> well? -> TW> Adn running LINUX or a variant as I understand it. -> Like I said before, not too long ago I saw a board in a cell -> phone cite running a Z-80. The Z-80 is still going Strong. I have seen them used in Elevator control panels. There are hundreds of other uses also out there. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
