RP> As penance, here's a summary of events in the case involving Judge
RP> Moore and his posting of the Ten Commandments in his courtroom - note
RP> that the entire issue was initiated and driven by the wonderful ACLU.
RP> The school prayer issue that's churning there isn't covered in this.
RP> Governor Fob James' letter to Judge Ira Dement on the issue can be
RP> found at:
Those who have been around this echo a while, will remember a
discussion Robert and I had on this subject, some time ago. At the
time, I felt that while Judge Moore has done nothing wrong, simple
good manners dictated that he remove the Ten Commandments, and cease
the prayers. Since then, I have has ample time to think over this
position, and have come to the conclusion that Judge Moore is doing
exactly what he ought to do, stand up for his convictions! I am
extremely tired of conservatives being told that our philosophy is so
bad, it ought not even see the light of day, and I am equally tired of
those who preach tolerance, practicing intolerance!
As for Mr Horn, this case is a prime example of the destructive nature
of the ACLU.
