Some excerpts from John Diresta bubbling over from his recent trip to WDW: >
>JD> ...then did TZTOT. Without a doubt the scariest, greatest ride I've
>JD> ever been on. The week we were there it was programmed to drop 5
>JD> stories, bungee you up, drop 11 stories, bungee you up, take your
>JD> picture, then drop you the full 13. We waited 90 min,but it was well
>JD> worth it.
>JD> Sat. PM: Went to MK. First did alien encounter. I was pretty
>JD> disappointed with this one; kinda seemed pointless. I'd only go on if
>JD> there was no wait. Then did some usuals, and ended the day with Splash
>JD> Mtn. Well worth the 45 minute wait, and especially exciting at night.
>JD> Definitely my fav MK ride; I honestly liked it better than Soace Mtn!
>JD> Tue: Due to rain, we didn't get to go to Blizzard BEach. Instead, we
>JD> explored the disney hotels, something we'd been planning on for a
>JD> while. We then went back to MGM and rode the TZTOT, my fav ride,
>JD> another 3 times.
John, I didn't know that they programmed or changed programs TZTOT! Last
year I went on three time trying to "feel something". It was a total bust
for me. I hope they keep the bungee program when we return this year! I
agree that the alien encounter was a little disappointing, but they could
easily improve it with some extra special effects. Part of it, I guess, is
knowing that this USED to be Man to the Moon and then USED to be Mission to
Mars. How many times can you recycle an attraction without losing something?
Which Disney resorts did you get to visit on that rainy day? The last time
we tried that ended with us taking a tour of Disney Vacation Club and getting
hooked on that. Thanks for your remarks about doing Splash Mtn at night,
we'll have to give that a try. Glad to hear you had a great time!
