subject: DUKE3D REG. REL. PROBLEM

Norm,
NW>Joe: DN3D registered version is as great as advertised! However,I have
NW>experienced an annoying problem already. It started in Episode 2,
NW>Level 4--when part way into the level, after I entered a door, my frame
NW>rate dropped from 10-17 to 1-3. Starting the level over again, it went
NW>back to the higher rates but dropped again later. So, I "DNSCOTTY" to
NW>the next level and everything was OK until I got to level 7 when the
NW>same thing occurred! Hoping this doesn't keep up throughout the rest of
NW>the game!!!(I haven't run the Episode 1 since the Shareware ver 1.1)
NW>I'm running on a 486DX/66 with 16Meg of RAM and a Trident 9400CXi Video
NW>card. Game setting is normal 320x200. Can't use Univbe51a since it
NW>crashed my system on the shareware version. Any idea why it suddenly
NW>turns sluggish or what to do about it? Thanks,
I have that problem as well. Didn't happen in the shareware version.
I'm currently on Episode 2, level 8 and the frame rate drops to treacle
speed, even in enclosed 'corridor' areas in certain parts. Makes it
impossible to target the enemy properly. Mines a 8meg, DX2 with Cirrus
Logic 32bit 1 meg card..not excactly the greatest setup but it worked
fine with the shareware version.
