1237b1c81998 dos_internet Hello Mark - --8<--cut SH>> I'll remember that if the problem arises. But what does SH>> one do if some of the members have no netmail capacity? SH>> Stew?:-) ml> FWIW: /everyone/ in fidonet has netmail capability... some ml> systems and sysops just don't implement it due to other ml> factors... the most major of those factors being lack of ml> education on its operation and workings... I _may_ be mis-remembering this but in the days when BBS charged for access to FIDO on a per reply basis (something like $.03 as I recall?) all netmail was billed at a higher rate. I think all netmail was what is called 'crash mail' now? It was sent directly to the BBS via long distance land lines and not routed through normal FIDO nodes? Could be that many only remember the 'crash mail'? It also seems that netmail is 'lost' more often than normal 'traffic' from what I read in the Z1B and NAB echos over some time. :-\ > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
