Hello Jimmy!

I SysOped one back in the late 1980s. It was a lot of fun, running at 300
baud, then 1200, 2400, 4800 and then 9600. Too slow today, though. I
don't have my BBS up any lomger, but if I had enough requests to put it
back up, I would. I became a "member" of Fidonet officially in
1991. That's when I got my node number.

JA> My turn to agree with you. :-) It was exciting, but drawn out.

Yep.

JA> Do you mean the first movie? Or the, IMHO, not so good sequels? Or the TV

I have a soft spot for all of them, except the cartoons. The first
Superman movie with Christopher Reeve was exceptional, but the sequels
weren't. Sequels remind me of a line in Spaceballs when Mel Brooks is
talking about Spaceballs II -- the search for more money.

JA> Since you mentioned it... I was a GIANT fan of the first movie in 77.

Same here.

I know exactly what you mean.

JA> Superman II was pretty good as well, but 3 & 4 really did not come

Me either.

JA> Hmm... I've assumed it was the end, but you've caused me to stop and
JA> think about that now... It's obviously not the end of the Matrix, but is
JA> it the end of the war?

I don't know. Only time will tell. It will be interesting to see what the
Wachowski brothers do. I'm sure they can get the cast with no trouble.

JA> My biggest regret in that movie is that the lady that portrayed the

Yeah. The first time I saw Gloria Foster was in an episode of Law &
Order. She shined as the Oracle in the original Matrix movie. Although
they were filming Reloaded and Revolutions at the same time, it's a shame
she had to die during Reloaded. I thought they would come up with a
younger version of her with a suitable explanation (after all, she was a
computer program), but that didn't happen.

Regards,

Ray
