-> ->> One of the amplified antennae for sale might help? -> TW> I have found Amplified antennas basicly Useless rfor DX -> TW> reception. Think about it Amplified Noise is still -> TW> Amplified Noise. -> Filtering? Actualy a good Active Filter is very good at making "in the mud" signals readable. And actualy I woulod pick it as a choice over an RF amplifier. -> TW> the use for the amplified antenna is for delivering Good -> TW> signal to noise ratio signals to multuipule Recievers. -> I've found articles recommending them for DX requirements and -> just assumed this was a valid use. In theory they can do the job. But typicaly the ones the casual DXer can buy typicaly make the situation worse. Now of course there are very expensive very low noise amplifiers out there that can help. but as they say, "If you have to Ask you cannot afford it", Particualrly one of those Liguid Nitrogen cooled beauties. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Shakey Jake's *ALL FREE BBS* Santee, CA (1:202/1324) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 202/1324 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
