I was just warming to the guy.  Is he a repeat offender in the echo?  (I'm
essentially a newbie here.)

I'll go with a majority decision in this case since I believe a moderator
isn't necessary for the echo, but the decision to cut the guy seems a a bit
extreme.  I'd have exercised my right of _no_ reply at a future stage if I
was no longer deriving some light entertainment through bantering with him,
in any case.  That usually tends to make the drips go a little dry, if
there's no comeback.
