Good.
Handling events isn't always simple. I haven't run across a source I
could point you at that explains why this is so.
Hence the 'treatise', which turned out to be a bit longer than I thought
it would. I'd normally choose to do it in C or Java because I know that
their standard libraries have decent support for both approaches, but
YMMV.
