1237b1c616b3 dos_internet Hello Steven - CA>> If employees are passing "I love you" emails around the CA>> office and opening them your employer has his own 'virus' CA>> called non-productive personnel. :-\ SH> Given that the "Love Bug" virus infected both Outlook and SH> Outlook Express address books, I'm not surprised that SH> infected messages showed up. The original 'infection' required some jerk of an employee who opened the first one received. :-\ SH> I was dismayed that people opened them. My point exactly. There is much gnashing of teeth and stress for security patches for working OS when the REAL NEED is to get people back to behaving in a professional manner at work and not encouraging trivial emails being passed around the office. If they receive what appears to be a trivial (personal non-professional) email they should forward it to their supervisor who should sack the jerk who has too much time on his/her hands or over active glands while at work. Maybe what we REALLY need is a program that makes a ticking clock sound when the cursor hovers over an email from anyone not listed in our address books? Possibly the comparison to a ticking time-bomb might get the point across to the jerks? CA>> That's a bit non-specific? SH> Norton caught the FriendGreet worm last August. Did you ever consider that disgruntled (or psychotic) employees are doing this on purpose? I really do believe that this is similar to the 'shop-lifter' folklore. Most merchandise is stolen by employees not shop-lifters. CA>> I don't fly an airplane but I know a bit about it. ;-) SH> I might know more about gaming code if it ever came close SH> to my system. Having had the experience of sitting in the SH> co-pilot's seat from time to time has taught me a fair bit SH> about flying but I doubt I could take the controls. OK, I used a bad example. :-\ CA>> Bill Gates has been repeating this message for over a CA>> decade that the Internet will be the new TV for all of us. SH> And do you always believe Bill? To be honest, yes I think I usually do. He seems to be in a 'place' where lying is not required of him. What can anyone do if they catch him? Whine more about how rich he is? SH>> Didn't I hear you say you were older than I am?:-) CA>> Probably. SH> I haven't figured out what will be around when I'm gone.:-) It's almost irrelevant. The important thing seems to be to make the most of what we have however 'popular' it is with others, eat, drink, and be merry (as the bible advises us) because we do not know how much time we have here (even young guys like you). ;-) > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
