Hello Jean -

CA>> I'm very much your junior and learning every day that old
CA>> age is no joy. :-\

JP> It all depends on how you accept it and then consider the
JP> option.

I have a poem online about how I 'accept' old age with a
recording of Rodney Dangerfield reciting the poetry. Actors can
'emote' better than we sometimes realize. Had a recording of
the author Dylan reading the poem aloud and it was boring.

CA>> they put plastic bones in his fingers. If they can do
CA>> that, they can fix one finger?

JP> It is an accepted procedure and I am considering it. It
JP> entails "shaving" off the nodule that built up on the
JP> tendon to allow it to slide unimpeded into the duct (?).
JP> When autumn comes maybe.

Good to know they have a procedure for fixing that. Sounds
doable to me, I'm used to cuts on my fingers wouldn't be much
of an inconvenience to wait for it to heal (here).

Sidenote: This is, again, a bit extreme but I have a serious
problem with people who de-claw cats. It makes them 'biters'
since they have no other means of defense and no real 'fingers'
per se. They use their claws as we use our finger tips. Anyhow
... I was thinking that if animals kept US as pets they would
remove our thumbs and or our fingers too to keep US from
getting into things. Horrible thought eh?
