DM> We are talking consoles here! The PSX wasn't at the
DM> *magic* $200 price either, the price was lowered on it and it's
199.99$$.
But that "magic price" is what companies tend to shoot for NOW. That's
Sega's goal, and I'm sure that Nintendo and Sony will try to keep it at $200
whenever they release their new systems (not anytime soon, I imagine).

DM> Why log on to the internet with a nomad?
DM> What's even the point? it's just put in there to sell
 DM> some of them.
But I wasn't talking about the Nomad, I was talking about the Game.com.
DM> Plus you NEED a pc to use the internet
 DM> feature.
No, you don't. That's like saying you NEED a V-10 engine to power a car!
DM> In black and white, it's no wonder you can't
DM> play quake? Can't they come out with original games?
For goodness' sake, it's a portable game machine, not a small Pentium!
Quake consumes considerably more space and CPU effort than something like
Duke 3D, even on a small black-and-white screen.
As for the originality, I suspect it's because they want to show off its
relatively powerful (compared to other portables) hardware, and what better
way to do so than by using existing games which one would think off-limits
for such a machine?

DM> it's going to end up in the bottom of everyone's closet
DM> along with their virtual boys!
Maybe, but at least it has some merits of its own.
