WTH, Tom?  I thought the point of his posting was that he was a
tech-interested fellow, posting about his own experience, and with a lot
of good add-on info which he had gathered about laptop batteries.

I _liked_ the opportunity to read about it here,  because my SIL gave me
this older Pentium laptop, and it has a bad battery pack, and I'm for
sure not going to pay $100+ to get a new Compaq battery pack for it,
when the whole thing may be only worth $75 or so, with a working battery
pack.

So plz excuse me for asking - - -
