Well, I was assuming that you knew more about laser printers than I do so I simply sent you the section of the book that sounded most like your problem. However I have no inkling of what or why either. I'd be wary of just tinkering with it without having at least a bit of information first. I suspect laser is a whole other world. At any rate, the laser section of the book I have is choke full of CAUTIONs, STOPs, WARNINGs, about the damage that can be done making the wrong move.
