1237b1c617f0 dos_internet Hello Steven - CA>> I was involved at the request of a friend who used a 4mhz CA>> 8088 machine and wanted better transfers. I had no CA>> personal interest in WATTCP and zero interest in CA>> 'updating' it for Erik. SH> What would have been needed to do the job? My sense is that SH> a PC of that vintage would have been better off with an SH> upgraded UART and disk caching. I try not to tell other people what hardware they should use. It's really quite rude IMO. It's comparable to telling an employee who arrives late due to car trouble to buy a new car. Very unrealistic to tell others what to spend their money on and when. This was the 'project' as it was described to me and I accepted it as valid specifications without a great deal of questioning of the logic. > > , , > o/ Charles.Angelich \o , > __o/ > / > USA, MI < \ __\__ ___ * ATP/16bit 2.31 * ...
