Those of us who can't read it every day, however--or those who can, but
don't have photographic memories--do appreciate sufficient quoting that
we can tell what's going on and can join the conversation if we want.
That doesn't usually require voluminous quoteback, but it does often
take more than a phrase. Anyway, if I recall correctly, the post
Michael was responding to contained no quotes at all.
