Some senseless babbling from Jonathan De Boyne Pollard to David Noon
on 08 Nov 98 21:04:56 about full screen ??...
DN> I only referred to Borland because I _think_ Jack has or had a copy of
DN> BCOS/2. I remember he had some very ropey C/C++ compiler.
DN> However, that terminology applies to all linkers (not compilers!)
DN> under OS/2: application types are PM, VIO or Text Mode.
JDBP> Actually, the more widely accepted terminology (i.e. everything other
JDBP> than the IDE for Borland C++ for OS/2 (-:) is "Not Window
Compatible",
JDBP> "Window Compatible", and "PM".
JDBP> Or, alternatively, "FULLSCREEN",
"PMCOMPATIBLE", and "PM".
And like most widely accepted terminology, it appears to be used by no one
:)
VACPP calls the types None (program determines itself what mode to run in),
Window (VIO), PM, or Full Screen.
