In a message dated 11-15-98, Fred Springfield said to David Noon about "Va Basic" Hi Fred, FS>It runs just fine here with a pentium 200 and 64 mb of RAM. The FS>resulting OS/2 .exe's take a few moments to load because of all the FS>extra DLL's which must be loaded, I guess, but once open, the programs FS>run just fine. It seems that the VAB interpreter is, itself, written in an interpretive language, SmallTalk, so the SmallTalk interpreter has to be loaded first. FS>Have you been following my current discussion with Denis Tonn on the FS>POPUPLOG error messages--and do you see that on your Warp 4 machine? Yes and no, respectively. I don't see many traps from it these days, as I seldom use it now. FS>It's the only thing bothering me about it now. I am still disappointed about its performance.
