| subject: | OS/2 C++ Programming? |
In a message dated 12-08-98, Wayne Steele said to David Noon about "OS/2 C++ Programming?" Hi Wayne, DN> Depends on what you want to develop. Since you are still a DN> learner, the 2.1 toolkit supplied with the Watcom compiler DN> would keep you plenty amused. WS>Yes but I would like to compile 32 bit versions though... The 2.1 toolkit is 32-bit! About the only stuff that might be missing are the multimedia extensions and a few goodies that came with the 2.11 Service Pack or the Warp kernel. For "normal" 32-bit applications the 2.1 toolkit will suffice. The last 16-bit toolkit was 1.3, and it is/was also on the Watcom install CD. The header files are definitely still there, as they are needed by Watcom's compiler for 16-bit targets. Regards Dave ___ * MR/2 2.25 #353 * Read the docs.
