    Does it depend on how interesting or unusual one's body (and its
medical condition) is?  As to body functions ceasing, that may be less of
an issue if samples are taken promptly.  Even if the only good that comes
of it is a med/surgical student with a little more knowlege or experience,
perhaps that's enough.
